Notice of Availability March 28, 2014

OSMRE published the notice of availability (NOA) for the Four Corners Power Plant and Navajo Mine Energy Project Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) in Federal Register on March 28, 2014. The NOA and DEIS have been added to the project Document Library. OSMRE will be conducting public meetings for the project starting April 30, 2014 through May 9, 2014. The locations, dates, and times for all public meetings are provided below and on the project Public Involvement. OSMRE will be accepting public comment on the DEIS through May 27, 2014.

Public Meetings April 30-May 9, 2014

The public is invited to attend open house public meetings to learn about the proposed, continued operation of the Four Corners Power Plant, Navajo Mine and proposed Pinabete Permit area; and the potential environmental impacts evaluated in the DEIS.

The public may arrive at any time during each open house public meeting. Project team members will be available to discuss the project, proposed actions, and the findings presented in the DEIS. Navajo and Hopi interpreters will be present at the open house public meetings on the Navajo and Hopi Reservations noted below. Stenographers will be available to receive oral comments, and written comments will also be accepted.
